FDBK EXPT is a project with a frequently changing line-up and varying guests formed around the nucleus of the group, which consists of guitarist Benjamin Whitehill (UK/DE) and daxophonist Kriton Beyer (GR/DE). As the name of the group suggests, the exploration, extensive use and focus on the phenomenon of acoustic feedback is one of the essential components of their work. In their first official release the two musicians team up with their colleague Alexei Borisov (RU).

Three distinctively different sonic worlds collide in this recording: Ben Whitehill’s expressive guitar feedback and electro-acoustic interferences, pair up with the odd sounds of Kriton Beyer’s daxophone, whose possibilities are still broadened by his pedal setup, while Alexei Borisov adds a characteristic Russian industrial flair to the mix with his electronics and the distinctive use of his voice. The DIY aesthetics are quite prominent in the group, as evident by the choice of their instruments e.g.: the daxophone can be considered a quintessential experimental DIY instrument, Alexei Borisov's self-made electronic devices and Ben’s use of extended playing techniques make a clear statement. Their performance is characterised by an intuitive approach to music-making, creating an aesthetically and sonically balanced and unforced result.
